Painting the trees tester

I am exploring the relationship of the tree to the forest. Yes the tree is a unit of the forest but it is also a participant  and a supporting member of the forest community.  If you really look at a tree what an impractical life form it is. Growing so tall resisting storm force winds, torrential rain and the resulting erosion.  yes a tree can exist on its own isolated in a field. But as a community of the forest ther tree not only thrives but becomes the habitat for other creatures and lifeforms.
